Halloween Special: Best Horror Movies!

If you want to have a spooky home-cinema session on Halloween, here´s a small selection I made as a recommendation for the horror movies lovers. This collection is based on two lists of the most popular amongst horror movies viewers: this and this. I have only selected the ones I have really watched and that were creepy for me...

Here we go!:

The Shining (1980).
A family heads to an isolated hotel for the winter where an evil and spiritual presence influences the father into violence, while his psychic son sees horrific forebodings from the past and of the future.

A young journalist must investigate a mysterious videotape which seems to cause the death of anyone in a week of viewing it.

"REC" turns on a young TV reporter and her cameraman who cover the night shift at the local fire station. Receiving a call from an old lady trapped in her house, they reach her building to hear horrifying screams -- which begin a long nightmare and a uniquely dramatic TV report.

Four weeks after a mysterious, incurable virus spreads throughout the UK, a handful of survivors try to find sanctuary.

In October of 1994, three student film makers disappeared in the woods near Burkittesville, Maryland. One year later, their footage was found.

A freak storm unleashes a species of blood-thirsty creatures on a small town, where a small band of citizens hole-up in a supermarket and fight for their lives.

Oscar, an overlooked and bullied boy, finds love and revenge through Eli, a beautiful but peculiar girl who turns out to be a vampire.

A caving expedition goes horribly wrong, as the explorers become trapped and ultimately pursued by a strange breed of predators.

A nurse, a policeman, a young married couple, a salesman, and other survivors of a worldwide plague that is producing aggressive, flesh-eating zombies, take refuge in a mega Midwestern shopping mall.

Have a spooky weekend! :)

"Enchanted" Style {Moodboard}

When I was a little child, I used to love watching fairytale movies, with princess, wizards, evil witches, gnomes... A couple of weeks ago, I watched "Enchanted" (Amy Adams) by chance and
made me remember those times when I loved spending time reading "The Cinderella" or watching "Beauty and the Beast"...

Therefore, my moodboard today is dedicated to the world of gnomes and fairies:

You can find more European finds at FleurFatale´s blog.
Have a great week! :)

What "Summer" Would Wear... {Moodboard}

Recently I watched a wonderful movie called "500 Days Of Summer", starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt ("Inception") and Zooey Deschanel ("Yes Man"), and I noticed the particular and lovely style of one of the main characters: Summer. So I thought, "what would she wear on a regular day?" and here are some finds that I think she would love:

More finds at FleurFatale´s blog.
By the way, I totally recommend watching this movie, it´s a bit heart-breaking but really beautiful.
Happy week! :)

About "Clash Of The Titans"...

Maybe many of you have already heard about this movie, Clash of The Titans or maybe you just heard about it, but the first time I knew something about this prodution from Warner was months ago, I think it was last Summer, when a friend told me that they were filming it here, in the Canary Islands!

The locations used are mainly in the Teide (in Tenerife), in the beautiful National Park. Some other places were The Dunes of Maspalomas (here, in Gran Canaria), Lanzarote and La Gomera.
The story is about "The mortal son of the god Zeus, who embarks on a preilous journey to stop the underworld and its minions from spreading their evil to Earth as well as the heavens", starring Sam Worthington ("Avatar", "Terminator Salvation"), Liam Neeson ("Taken", "Star Wars") and Ralph Fiennes ("Harry Potter", "The Hurt Locker").

Here´s a trailer:

And here are some shots of the wonderful Teide, in Tenerife.

And this stunning shot of Maspalomas, in Gran Canaria.

The movie will be released this week in many countries and I can´t wait to watch it!
So if you finally see it, you will be seeing a small piece of the Islands I live in.

Happy watching!
